Hi! My name is Ali Kelleher and I’m from Sandy Hook, Connecticut. I am so excited to be here at UD as a nursing major. I hope to minor in Spanish and study abroad at some point while I am here. I am the middle child in my family of three girls. I love to be outside, travel, spend time with family and friends, play sports and stay active. I am looking forward to getting to know people and exploring all that the University of Delaware has to offer.

Hey guys!! My name is Lily Beatty and I’m from Maplewood, New Jersey. I live in Harrington E which is pretty great aside from the fact that there’s no AC and my dorm is a sauna. I always loved my writing classes in high school and I’m expanded to grow and expand my abilities as a writer. I’m majoring in psychology and plan on going into the field of criminal psychology but you never know when you’ll change your mind. I already love in here at UD and Im super excited to meet new people, join new clubs and enjoy my next 4 years here!

Good Evening Everyone! As you can tell from my title my names is James Davis. I am from Lewes DE, down in good ole Sussex County. Recently I completed 8 years Active Duty in the U.S. Coast Guard and am now in the CG reserves and drill in Station Curtis Bay Baltimore as a Maritime Enforcement Specialist 2nd class. Prior to this, I was stationed in Staten Island New York for 4 years spending 2 years at Station New York and 2 years at the Maritime Safety and Security Team. Before New York I was in New Smyrna Beach Florida, also for 4 years, stationed at Station Ponce De Leon Inlet. Now I am taking advantage of my post 9/11 GI bill benefits and am working towards my bachelors (currently a freshman) in Wildlife ecology and Conservation, where I hope to one day find a career in the Environmental law enforcement/conservation field.

Hi everyone! My name is Jacqueline DeLuca. I’m from Long Island, New York where the bagels are unmatched, and you are always 30 minutes away from a beach. I am excited for the start of this year and hope to meet some of you guys throughout the semester. Some of my hobbies include playing sports, painting/ drawing, listening to music, watching shows, and hanging out with friends. Some shows I enjoy watching are Rick and Morty, Game of Thrones, The Office, and many others. I hope to meet you all soon!

My name is John Eichler. I grew up in Dover, Delaware, and am a second generation blue hen. I am the only freshman Women and Gender Studies major at this university so far. I’m studying this in hopes of getting a job at a non- profit organization to help the LGBTQ+ community, women, and other marginalized groups. In high school I was the president of the Gay Striaght Alliance which is what inspired my love for social justice and educating others about the LGBTQ+ community. I’m hoping this course helps me better my writing courses to better convey my written arguments about the importance of LGBTQ+ positive education. 

Hey everyone! My name is Ella Ciccarone and I am from Baltimore, Maryland. I’m majoring in Psychology and think I’ll eventually minor in Business Management or Marketing. I’m technically an only child but my parents consider our dog to be their favorite child. Some things I like to do include hanging out with my friends and family, going to the gym, watching Netflix, and eating food. I’m looking forward to this year!

Hi everyone. My name is Jacob Herz and I’m from Stamford, CT. Right now, I am undeclared so technically a University Studies major. The last book I read on my own time was Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. On my free time, I enjoy ultimate frisbee, listening to all types of music, and watching movies (my favorites being The Big Lebowski and Inglorious Basterds). Can’t wait for the first semester!

Hi my name is Sean Tracey. I am from Byram New Jersey and my major is chemical engineering. My favorite band of all time is Alice in Chains and I am a big fan of other rock bands such as Smashing Pumpkins and Oasis. In my free time I enjoy to read; the last book that I read was The Art of War. Now I am currently rereading the song of ice and fire book series. Besides reading I enjoy watching T.V. some of my favorite shows are Breaking Bad, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Game of Thrones.

My name is Anne and I’m from Williamsburg, Virginia which you’ve probably taken a family trip to because it’s home to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. I haven’t declared my major so I’m in “University Studies” as they so nicely call it here. Recently I’ve been reading Neil Gaiman’s American Gods but I read a lot of different genres. I really love music, specifically 1960s avant-garde, 1970s glam rock, and 1980s punk. Here’s the mandatory Office reference in any introduction online: I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.

Hi! My name is Spenser Smith-Russo and I am from Bernardsville, New Jersey (about 45 mins from NYC). I am currently a freshman nursing major here at UD. I love to play lacrosse and stay active and I also love traveling. Two places I really want to travel to, before I graduate, is Hawaii and Australia! I cant wait to meet new people and see what this year has to bring!
