For this paper, the only thing I’m worried about is keeping it coherent and not going off on tangents. There are potentially a lot of different things I can cover and I don’t want to get carried away. My plan is to outline what I want to cover in each paragraph and make sure I stick to it so it stays on track.

My plan for this paper is to discuss the effects religion has on society. Many people who are very invested in their religion, influence other people and attempt to get them to believe what they do. I disagree with this and believe that religion should be kept very personal and should not affect those around you who are not involved in your religion. Certain religions and beliefs have recently caused certain decisions to not be allowed and certain identities to be felt out of place.

I have a very strong stance on this topic and am excited to write about it, although, i am unsure I will be able to find solid sources to back up my reasonings. There are many philosophers that I know of who speak a lot about religion, who I can learn and use from. This can be a very broad topic so I am having a bit of a hard time trying to narrow down exactly what I want to talk about.

So far my plan is to create an outline of what I want to talk about in my research paper. I’m going to read through all my sources and find the important quotes and points. Create a partial draft to turn in, and then continue working on the paper. I am worried about the paper in general and the organization. I have all the points I want to make it’s just a matter of organizing it, and actually proving my thesis.

For my paper, I am worried that I won’t be using the strongest information to prove the points I’m trying to make. Sometimes I overthink papers like these so to overcome these issues, I plan to work on this paper a little bit every day so I don’t stress myself out and only have to write a little bit at a time.

My research paper will be attacking three main points that all add up to why LSD should be rescheduled. One of my main concerns is making sure to balance all three topics that I need to address. Michael warned me not to let the history of LSD completely take over the other things that I need to talk about to get my point across. From a personal standpoint, I am concerned about my time management on this. I have gotten slightly better at doing my work the day before it’s due, but it ends up being that the larger the assignment is, the more intimidating it is to conquer. And then this ends with me waiting to write it until the last few days. I want my final draft to be a solid foundation for what I want to say when all is said and done. In order to do that, I’m going to need to push myself more to slowly chip away at this assignment.

Although I am very excited to write my research paper because we are able to write it on a topic I care about deeply (Thanks Michael), I am worried that I will just simply run out of points to make, no new original ideas, and keep repeating myself. I am also worried that I do not have the writing endurance to write decently for that high of a word count. To tackle these worries I am going to try to outline the paper pretty well, then try to do a couple paragraphs everyday, upping my word count every day, hopefully closer to the limit and well written.

My biggest concern for writing my research paper is if I will have enough time to write everything that I want. I’m not sure if I will be able to prioritize my time correctly when my other classes start to become harder and more time consuming because of finals.

Another concern is that I won’t be able to find enough resources or ones that give me different and useful information. I have already found a couple good ones but I’m afraid those are all that I will find.

My essay is on if homework is necessary for students to learn. In my essay I plan to explore whether homework is more helpful or harmful to students. This is to draw the ultimate conclusion on whether or not homework should be mandatory and if it should be how much. My plan to do this is by looking at the research that had been done on the effects of homework on students over the years. I also plan on reading the thoughts of people who are education experts to see what they have to say about homework. I plan to work a little on the paper every day so it does not overwhelm and so I will not get to anxious about it.

For my paper I plan to research how much reusable products are actually that much better for the environment. I will be focusing on reusable straws and reusable bags because I feel like those are both products that are currently very popular. I will analyze the environmental impact of different types of reusable products compared to the single-use plastic versions of them. This will include looking at what they are made out of. I will also use statistics in order to compare the environmental impacts of the reusable and single use products. At the end of the paper I hope to have come to a conclusion about whether these products accomplish the goals they are supposed to.

I am not that worried about the length of the paper because I have written papers this long before. However, I am worried about finding enough credible information to use. I worry that I won’t find enough data on my specific topic. 

My plans for P3 are to discuss the problem with the current costs of prescriptions in the United States specifically regarding senior citizens. I will argue that this is a major issue in need of legislation, and 3 potential ways to reduce these prices. I am going to cite multiple policy briefs I have studied, along with the general costs and income that the elderly population pay and receive. To avoid getting “off track”, I plan on writing a detailed outline. I am somewhat anxious about this topic, being that it is about legislation, but I am hoping that with facts and statistics that this essay is informative, interesting, and provokes a desire in the reader to also desire legislation to improve this current issue.
