Hey everyone, what’s up? Don’t actually answer that question, that’d be weird. Anyway, I’m Meg Roessler and I’m from North Jersey, but more specifically, Oakland. And to any of my fellow New Jerseyans, Central Jersey does not exist and it is TAYLOR HAM not PORK ROLL. I’m a Communication Interest major and I’m living in Harrington this year so that basically means I’m dying of heat 95% of the time. I love impromptu adventures and being outside as much as possible. I have been doing quite a lot of ice breakers in this first week of college so right now seems a good time for a fun fact! Fun Fact: the Jonas Brothers grew up in the town next to me! I hope you all enjoyed and everyone enjoy your evening 🙂

Hi there, my name is Nina Freda. I am a freshman at UD, and my major is English Education. I am from South Jersey (go Birds!) and love to go to the Jersey shores in the summer.

One thing about myself is that I am persistent. I am always in pursuit of the next best thing I can do to better myself. I really enjoy learning, exercising, and meditating. I love to find new things that can inspire me, but also help me to relax. With that, I try to maintain a balance in my life of things to keep me healthy mentally and physically. For example, if I have a tough workout one day, I know I have to balance that out with a good sleep that night, or if I have a strenuous day of classes, I know I have to find time to unwind and read a good book or watch a fun documentary.

Over the last few years of my life, I have found that this balance is the key to a happy and healthy life. I am super grateful to have acquired this skill, and I hope I can provide some insight to others about how to accomplish a higher quality of life. 🙂

Hey everyone, my name is Sofie Abboud. I’m from Staten Island, New York which is about 2 and a half hours away from Delaware. My major is psychology and I wish to be a guidance counselor for kids with special needs. My hobby is dancing which I have been doing for over 16 years. My dance studio is called Broadway Dance Center which is located in Manhattan in Times Square. The performance company I am involved in is called Artists in Motion company (AIM), where I travel all over the world and dance at conventions. 😉

Hi! My name is Isabel Ernenwein and I’m from Newburgh, New York. My middle name is Hannah which is why my username in Isabelhannah. No reasoning behind it, I just like it better. I haven’t travelled too much but I am planning to travel abroad frequently. I went on a trip to Greece over the summer and as cheesy as it sounds, it was life changing. Definitely recommend. I’m just excited to be at a college that not only accommodates traveling abroad, but promotes it. Can’t wait for first semester!

My name is Rachel Rohman. I’m from Sussex County, Delaware and I live near the beaches. Therefore, I love to go to the beach and miss it very much. The things I love to do include hanging out with my friends, shopping, and hanging out with my family. I have a sister and a brother… I’m the oldest in my family. I also have a Great Dane named Mae, and I miss her very much. I can’t wait for the upcoming seasons because Thanksgiving-Christmas is my favorite time of the year! My current major is Political Science and I live in Gilbert Hall. Also looking forward to meet all of you guys 🙂

Hey everybody, my name is Nadalye Garlin. I’m from State College, PA, which is about three hours away from UD. I live 10 minutes away from Penn State. I’m majoring in Psychology, although I’m not sure what I want to do in the future yet. I have three younger siblings and a dog back at home. I love being active, I played soccer most of my life and ran track in high school. I’m excited for the semester! 

Hi, my name is Izzy Kimmel. I’m from Montgomery County, Maryland. I’m a nursing major, and I hope one day to either work in pediatrics, pediatric oncology, or the NICU. I also hope to one day be a traveling nurse, where I can help those most in need while also seeing the world. Back at home, I have a younger sister, three cats, and a dog. In my free time, I like spending time with friends, playing volleyball, or watching Netflix. My favorite shows are The Office, Stranger Things, Supernatural, Parks and Rec, and Psych. I’m looking forward to the semester!

My name is Mia Gallo and I am from Aberdeen, New Jersey, a small town by the Jersey Shore. Therefore, I have had some of the best bagels and pizza on the planet. I am a Political Science major and my career goal is to be the President, but a notable Senator would suffice. I love online shopping, extremely strong iced coffee, and talking way too much and way too fast.

Hey everybody! My name is Jane and I’m from Wilmington, DE; about 20 minutes away from Newark. I’m a Music Education major, and I hope to be a high school choir teacher and drama director in the future. I love doing all things music, and have been singing in choirs and playing the piano for over 14 years. I also have a strong passion for theatre, and have performed in (I’m pretty sure) 15 musicals, plays, and one act shows. I’ve also directed, choreographed, stage managed, and done marketing for various performances in my high school and in the community.

Hello everybody! My name is Alexis Cervantes. I’m from Hazlet, NJ, which is a super small town I’m sure none of you have ever heard of. My major is environmental science, which was strongly influenced by growing up ten minutes from the shore. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was eleven. Another thing I’d like you all to know about me is that I’m a legacy here at UD. I take great pride in being a Blue Hen, after all, I was a Blue Hen cheerleader at my mom’s graduation in 2002.
